MORTONS MEDIA GROUP is delighted to announce the acquisition of the Kempton Park bike jumbles and motorcycle shows.

Eric Patterson and Andy KitchenThe events company has added the seven one-day events to its already packed calendar which includes the two Stafford classic shows, the Telford off-road show and the ’Normous Newark Autojumbles.

Andy Kitchen of Mortons’ events division will head up the new series and said: “I can’t wait to get started. The Kempton shows are really popular and well attended and I look forward to taking them forward over the coming years.”

The new organising team will run the next event on Saturday, July 23, and although a period of transition will be taking place, traders, exhibitors and visitors can contact Andy should they have any enquiries.

He added: “It’s business as usual as far as we’re concerned and we’re confident that the handover will be a smooth one. Anyone who has any questions can get in touch either by email or on the phone – or 01507 529435.”

While founder Eric Patterson has decided the time is right to step down after 30 years, he will remain on board working with Mortons to develop the shows further over the coming years.

He said: “It’s going to be strange no longer being ‘in charge’, but I am delighted to be handing over the reins to Mortons which is a company I’ve worked closely with for several years. The events are in good hands.”

Andy was quick to ensure Eric received the proper recognition and added: “What Eric’s done deserves huge praise. From small beginnings he’s grown the Kempton autojumbles into some of the leading events on the classic bike calendar.

“He hands them over to us in great shape, and we’re excited about adding our knowledge and experience to a winning formula.”
